TheBluesMobile Radio Show, hosted by Elwood Blues celebrates this great American music - it's past, present and future. The musical palette we draw from is wide. Under the Blues umbrella, we include R&B, soul, Blues rock, acoustic roots music, some jazz and gospel. We consider Blues music to be the taproot of modern music.

They're just as racist today as they were back then.. What a country.
This’ll be in movies soon
Cut the crap.. I just want to tune up this here guitar.
Saw him in the early 1990s at the Montreal Jazz fest. Small stage he had his daughter and Granddaughter standing by the stage and a street full of people Wow. I’ve seen a lot of big shows. Clapton Dylan Stones The Who Santana Buddy Guy John Lee Hooker but seeing him was other worldly. You could hear the delta coming out of his fingers on the guitar. It was absolutely incredible.
Fascinating story! Sonny was always my favorite harmonica player! RIP Sonny🙏💪❤️
Revisiting. She really does. And very original lyrics.
The creator placed me out of that ere if reincarnation is real I’ve died many times fighting injustice because I would’ve stood up to the cops and had been killed.
it’s so fascinating that one of the original delta bluesman played live in our generation
thsi is so unreal
He’s loved in Louisiana
As someone who lives in Fayetteville rn and whose family is from Helena this is an insane story to hear. I’m 26 and just recently came back from Mississippi in January where I visited Sonny’s gravesite - the experience of just seeing where this legends soul eternally rests floored me and I’ll never forget it. I’m just now finding out that Arkansas was a huge blues hub for men like Sonny, Howlin, RL, Junior and many more. Rest easy to the best harmonica player I’ve ever heard.
This song will never get old. Saw Mavis sing this a few years back at a Buddy Guy concert in Mississippi.
Great story By Robbie loved it thanks
❤❤❤ you have 2 Lebanese Canadian great fans in Montreal who think you're an incredible player, accompanied by very talented musicians 🎶🎸🎸🥁
Hi Tasha, I thought that only I felt this connection to him as opposed to other singers. Girl, I have Johnny Taylor mini concerts in my bedroom. I'm 60 and my oarents and other relatives koved him and his music. Though I was kittke girl, I absolutely loved his music. They played everything from, Cheaper to keep her, I found a love, to my favorite, I BELIEVE in YOU. Genes never lie and you have surely inherited his voice and his looks. *I pray for your continued success. May the Good LORD, CONTINUOUSLY REIGN BLESSINGS on you and your family's lives. In the name of JESUS, AMEN 👑. REST in GOD'S LOVE, KING JT👑. 1938 - 2000
Heard similar tale with people waiting outside Otis Reddings studio to open on Atlantic records
Thank you so much for uploading this!!
It’s true ms Tasha he played a part in all of our black lives thank you
Thank you Bob for checking out my deal. Sometimes when people’s sense of reality are so different it is not good. And definitions of lying are so different. I happen to think omission is akin to lying often. Feels like quicksand a bit. But thanks for taking the time. (And that calypso song is beautiful).
Mac RebiniwitzRI P Mac u r missed!
Gee, I always love seeing different angles of his performances. Thanks a bunch!
wow! what a jam that would be Jimi, Robbie, and RJ! Only in blues heaven...
Fantastic story.
Aamazing. R.I.P.
I love you hazel miller awesome
💜💯💜💯💜💯💜💯💜💯🙏🏿
was weed smoked there? I bet it was
I’m a little late but its still great in 2023 baby
Man what a story
The one thing about Robbie that I've never understood and he's never really talked about is why he was basically on his own at 16 years old,and free to go to Arkansas with Ronnie Hawkins. He was close to his mother, but it seems no one was looking after him.Things could have turned out differently.
Robbie is gone now. 😢
Love you Robbie Robertson …..incredible story and love that you didn’t want to cause trouble….just being incredible musicians admiring another incredible musician !!!!!!
So "Jimmy James and the Vagabonds" was a different "Jimmy James".
Extraordinary story, very moving.
No one comes close to Johnny Taylor even today and does Tasha have a way to reach her.
This video needs to be in the Library of Congress. Tragic first hand account of that period.
What an articulate gentleman ... a one of a kind who " mixed " well with everyone . RIP ...
Why the weave? You don't like looking like a Nubian woman?
More than OK!
harp player was stepping on him too much
The record they made together is beautiful. Robbie's effect on Clapton's carreer was profound, and Eric expresses his gratitude there.
There's the answer to a fun trivia question - Who introduced Brian Jones to Jimi?
We can all be thankful now that Robbie found the opportunities and time to share these experiences. When he first got off the bus in Helena, he was blown away by the innate musicality of the place, but authoritarian race-based hatred directed at the perpetrators of that cultural accomplishment was also part of the local color.
Over the years, I've worn out my copy of Blonde on Blonde without recognizing how important Robbie's contribution was. ...Is, actually.
Crazy to think about it, but at the same time in the summer of '67 while all this was going on, I was 5 years old and staying with my grandparents in Saugerties. Big Pink was 3.88 miles from my bedroom per Google Earth. My great grandfather's house in West Saugerties, where we went swimming in Plattekill Creek, was 2.5 miles away from BP. For all I know, I could have brushed by them in the local store at the time and not known it.
Clapton could’ve taken Robbie’s job. That would’ve been ok.
Except he can't write songs like Robbie or play like him either.
@@rdmeenach Clapton has more hits.
To me the just ain't good enough album is my favorite of all time.i am a professional artist so I do paintings of j t.
Missed . Legend
I love this!
This wonderful guy can tell a story in an interview, in a documentary, in a poem, and in a song. I love listening to and hearing this man.
